Social media isn’t social anymore.
That’s the biggest opportunity in 2026, let me explain.
I’m going to say something strange for someone who’s built businesses on LinkedIn for over a decade.
Most of the time…
my advice is not to spend all your time on social media.
Because social media isn’t social anymore.
It’s loud.
Crowded.
Desperate.
Like a nightclub at 3am.
Everyone pretending they’re having the best night of their life…
while quietly wondering why nothing’s happening.
It used to be about connection.
Now it’s a dopamine casino.
Scroll.
Tap.
Refresh.
Hoping this post is the one that finally works.
If you’re honest…
You don’t need more content ideas.
You don’t need better hooks.
You don’t need another AI tool.
You need trust.

And if you’re a business owner, consultant, founder, or professional service provider — trust is the only thing that converts in 2026.
If that’s you, pause for a second and ask yourself:
Do people actually know what I stand for… or am I just posting?
Years ago I designed the ultimate content creation system that we could offer clients at a better rate than anything else on the market. Before you say anything, yes this is a random promo in the middle of the article.
BTB positons you as an expert guest on a video interview and guide you through sharing your story on camera. We take care everything from the topics, planning, producition, editing, subtitles, graphics, etc. You’ll look like an industry leader, and your views, followers and leads will skyrocket – they always do. We even guarantee results. Find out more – ok now back to regular programing..
Every year someone asks me:
“Nat, what’s the shortcut?”
“What’s the hack?”
“What’s the trick?”
There isn’t one.
Because when the platform gets smarter, tricks stop working.
LinkedIn doesn’t want viral content.
It wants people to stay.
To talk.
To connect.
And if your strategy is built on volume instead of value, it collapses the moment the rules change.
That’s why I see the same pattern every year:
When the real issue is misalignment.
If you can’t make LinkedIn work with 50 thoughtful conversations a week, no automation will save you.

LinkedIn made a quiet but massive change.
They call it conversational relevance.
It doesn’t care:
It cares about:
Likes are cheap.
Conversation is commitment.
And commitment is what turns into revenue.
People are optimising everything except the message.
Posting times.
Formats.
Templates.
Canva designs.
Meanwhile the content says nothing.
Here’s the truth most people don’t want to hear:
If you get the message right, you can get everything else wrong and still win.
Nobody has ever signed a $20k deal because of a background, font, or hashtag.
Your story builds connection.
Your strategy builds income.
Your authenticity builds trust.
This is the system we use every day with clients.
Not theory.
Execution.
You don’t need more followers.
You need the right ones.
If your content doesn’t make someone say “that’s me”, it’s too vague.
Clarity converts.
Everyone wants leads.
Nobody wants to nurture.
Replying to comments.
Following up.
Actually caring.
When I stopped doing this, nothing dramatic happened.
Momentum just quietly died.
Inbound slowed.
Opportunities faded.
Presence matters more than polish.
Connection is the bridge between content and revenue.
Two rules before selling:
Until then, curiosity beats pitching every time.
This is where business happens.
DMs that say:
“Your post hit home.”
“This made me think.”
“Can we talk?”
That doesn’t come from volume.
It comes from trust at scale.
When my daughter was born, life changed.
Then came the diagnosis.
Cerebral palsy.
I didn’t share that publicly at the time, not because I was hiding, but because I was still in it.
Vulnerability isn’t bleeding in public.
It’s sharing after you’ve found meaning.
That distinction matters.
That’s how you stay human and credible.
You don’t have a content problem.
You don’t have a lead problem.
You have a trust problem.
People don’t buy because you’re brilliant.
They buy because they believe you.
Belief is built through behaviour:
If you’re a founder, leader, or business owner and you’re serious about:
This is exactly what we do.
